Oscar Moreno Named Manager of New Branch in Codman Square

South Boston, MA - - -Edward J. Merritt, President and CEO of Mt. Washington
Bank has appointed Oscar Moreno to be the branch manager of the new Codman
Square location, which is slated to open in the August 2007. It will be
the Bank’s fifth branch in Boston.
Moreno will be responsible for managing all of the operations and financial services of the Codman Square branch, a 4,000 square foot facility located at 305 Talbot Avenue. Upon completion, the branch will have a two-lane remote drive-through, 24 hour ATM and ample customer parking. As part of the Bank’s community outreach agenda, the branch will also have a community room where neighborhood groups and organizations can host meetings and activities.

Moreno joined Mt. Washington Bank in July 2006 and currently serves as assistant vice president-branch manager. He has spent the last year working with the Bank’s senior team on the $4 million Codman Square branch construction project. Prior to coming to Mt. Washington Bank, Moreno served as a banking officer-branch manager at Eastern Bank in South Boston for four years.
Moreno is a member of the Association for Latinos and Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA), the Hispanic American Chamber of Commerce (HACC), and Dorchester Merchants Association. He received his bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Arizona and earned his MBA from Bentley College in Waltham, MA. Moreno is also a graduate of the Partnership Program, a Boston-based leadership program for young professionals of color.
Founded in 1893, Mt. Washington Bank has stayed committed

retail and small business community. Mt. Washington recently announced
the opening of its new Gallivan Boulevard branch in Dorchester, representing
the Bank's fourth branch location in addition to a stand alone loan center.
